The latest instalment of my personal 100 Happy Days photo project:
Day 61: Watching ‘Frozen’ with my girlies after an afternoon of playing in the park on Bank Holiday Monday
Day 63: Getting home from London unexpectedly early – in time to see these little monkeys before bedtime
Day 65: A brand new, fully functioning washing machine! Eternally grateful to my wonderful neighbour for letting me borrow hers until I could get a new one.
Day 67: Hen do had to be cancelled, but my two best friends came and visited for the day anyway 🙂
Day 70: Walking through Victoria Park at 6am on a gloriously sunny morning on my way to the train station for a day of London clients
Something I’ve come to realise as I’ve gone through this project is that even though I take many pictures of the happy moments in my days, and post them here on this blog, there are some moments that I don’t manage to capture on camera: Lola putting her soft arms around my neck and giving me her biggest and best ‘squeezy cuddle’; Mimi whispering to me that I’m the best Mummy in the world; Ella gently taking my face in her hands and giving me one of her rarely-offered kisses; waking up early while the rest of the house is still asleep and having a blissful five minutes all to myself before getting up to start the day; the moment a client realises the real reason behind their issues and take a step forwards towards letting them go…
At first I beat myself up a bit, feeling that I wasn’t doing well enough at the project –Â I wasn’t giving my all, I wasn’t good enough to capture every single one.
And then I realised that actually, some moments you don’t need to capture on camera because you’ve captured them in your heart. And that is far more powerful.
Only three more instalments to go now and I’m beginning to try and figure out what the next project will be. Any suggestions and ideas will be gratefully received!
