This is only going to be a short post.
Last Wednesday my middle daughter fell over backwards and hit her head extremely hard on the radiator. A huge lump instantly appeared that was very concerning, so off to the hospital we went. After spending four hours in A&E we were told she had a haematoma (a large swelling of blood/blood clot under the skin). Thankfully it was nothing more serious than that, and after a couple of days off school she was absolutely fine.
Then, on Friday night my youngest daughter woke with a tummy bug and was violently sick for most of the night.
I thought that the rest of the family had managed to avoid it, but then on Tuesday night first my eldest daughter, then the middle one, then my partner all succumbed. I didn’t make it to bed that night, instead spending my time emptying sick bowls, refilling the washing machine and desperately trying to stay awake. Then the inevitable happened and in the early hours of the morning I started being horribly sick too. Yesterday passed by in a complete blur.
Thankfully today we all feel a bit better. The vomiting seems to have stopped and we’ve all managed to eat something and drink some water (and keep it down).
I’m hoping that this is going to be the end of what has been a complete nightmare of a week.
I’ve missed two days at Harley Street, letting down my clients. I’ve had to cancel a shopping trip with my two best friends where we were going to buy bridesmaids dresses.
So this post is really just to say a very big thank you to everyone who wished us all well while we were ill and to all of you who offered to help out. It’s also an extra apology to all the clients I couldn’t see and the friends I had to cancel on. Thank you for understanding, and sorry I couldn’t make it.
The next few days are going to be spent catching up with emails and phone messages, so please be patient if I haven’t got back to you yet – I promise I will as soon as I can.
Thank you 🙂
