You may have noticed that things have been a bit quiet on the blog recently. There are a couple of reasons for this.
Firstly, I’ve been really quite ill for a week now – I’m not even sure what with. Horrendous headaches, a sore throat that feels like I’m swallowing barbed wire, an awful cough that leaves me retching and gasping for air, and zero energy. As in, absolute zero. I normally don’t sit down at all in the day (unless I’m working with clients), but for the last seven days even doing the smallest task (like the washing up) has left me exhausted, and simply doing the school run has resulted in me needing a 2 hour sleep to recover. I’ve cancelled client after client, supervision session after supervision session. My girls have been ill with it too, one after the other (first Mimi, then Ella and now Lola), though they’ve thankfully only needed a couple of days off each – I seem to have been hit hardest out of everyone.
It’s frustrating because I’m so very rarely ill, and I hate letting my clients and supervisees down. I’m not good at being stuck at home all day, but honestly this last week I haven’t even noticed what the weather has been like outside.
I’ve decided that as of tomorrow I’m going to be well again and I’m very much hoping that applying this mindset might be the difference that makes the difference and gets my body to respond in the way that it’s meant to – with health and wellness and energy.
The second reason I’ve not been posting my regular #projecthappy and #projectlove posts is that since the beginning of January I’ve been really quite busy working away on a project in the background that’s in line with my 2016 intention of following my heart. The plan was to launch it a couple of weeks ago, but a few things got in the way and then I got ill, so it got postponed a little.
Anyway, I’m delighted to announce that I’ve started my own family blog ‘Picture-Taker, Memory-Maker’ – something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time now. And so after two years #projecthappy (and the more recent addition #projectlove) are moving to a new home! If you would like to continue to follow my posts, and read all about the adventures my little family gets up to, please do feel free to head over to www.picturetakermemorymaker.co.uk and take a look. I’d love to find out your thoughts, feelings, ideas and opinions, so do leave comments either here or on the new blog.
Rest assured I will continue to post here on this blog anything and everything that I think might be useful or inspiring for clients and colleagues.
Finally, an extra apology to all the clients and supervisees I’ve had to cancel over the last week – I’ll be back on form very soon.
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter with your family and/or friends.
Thanks for reading 🙂
