The first week of the summer holidays disappeared in the blink of an eye and because I’m a couple of days late posting this, we’re now almost at the close of week #2. Slow down time!
Here’s what we got up to…
Day 501: We headed to Shugborough on this sunny Sunday afternoon to complete their ‘Seven Secret Doors’ adventure hunt. Loads of walking, plenty of fresh air and vitamin D, plus a whole heap of family time makes a good start to the summer holidays 🙂 I love this photo I captured of my husband and our girls.
Day 502: My husband has this week off work and we have Sophie for five days. She brought with her a flower hairband, which my three girls instantly fell in love with and claimed for their own!
Day 503: A whole-family kickabout and tennis ‘match’ at Wildwood Park
Day 504: Rather impressive skies on the way home from London today. Captured this shot over Rugeley Power Station through grubby windows on a train moving at 125mph!
Day 505: Baking mini-scones. He loves baking and I love catching sight of his wedding ring in unexpected moments
Day 506: Ella was delighted to discover that the sunlight glinting off her sequinned top turned it into a glitterball. Cue much excitement (and dancing) in the lounge 🙂
Day 507: Reading to Nana
Day 508: Looking through childhood summer scrapbooks on a rainy Sunday afternoon with Mum and the girls
Day 509: Pretty skies over the rooftops. Sunshine always follows the rain.
Day 510: Ella’s best friend came round to play – listening to them giggle and whisper together behind a closed bedroom door reminded me of childhood days spent playing at my best friend’s houses
