We’re now officially halfway through the school year and the February half term seems to have flown by. We deliberately didn’t do anything special as I think we all needed a relatively restful week, so our days were slow and our time together was unplanned and unstructured.
Here are my happy moments from the last ten days:
Day 711: A surprise bouquet of absolutely gorgeous red roses for Valentine’s Day, plus a card with words so perfect they made me cry. My Mum also came to visit (we haven’t seen her since Christmas) and it was really good to spend some time with her, even though it went way too quickly.
Day 712: Half an hour of tickles and kisses and silliness is always a good way to start a Monday. I love this photo 🙂
Day 713: The girls had a friend round to play this morning, we baked chocolate cupcakes at lunchtime and then braved the freezing-cold-but-sunny afternoon air by scooting to the park to play and feed the ducks.
Day 714: Got home from working in London to a rather fantastic book delivery 🙂
Day 715: We’ve got Sophie for a few days this half term, so we headed to our favourite local park to play football and get some fresh air and sunshine
Day 716: Can I just say… hunky husband + cute kitten = *swoon*. Ok, now that’s out of my system, this was Pumpkin’s first sniff of the great outdoors. He’s not allowed out until he’s completely healed from his operation, but he’s absolutely desperate to go out in our garden. He was so excited to be outside that he was actually shaking.
Day 717: Today we took the girls shopping for clothes and treats. Before we left I tried to coerce them into having some photos taken. I did manage to get some lovely smiley ones and some silly crazy-faces ones, but this one is my favourite because it sums us up perfectly – energetic, chaotic and imperfect in every way. They are my world and I love them.
Day 718: A slow and lazy day today. Arts and crafts galore.
Day 719: Another book delivery! This time one for my eldest daughter and I to share. I can’t wait to get started with this!
Day 720: A pretty sunset after a beautiful day of sunshine. Spring is coming!
