I can’t remember when or where I came across this quote. I know I made a note of it straight away because at the time it seemed important and I planned to write a blog about it in the not-too-distant future.
Then life got in the way and it’s been stored on my phone ever since.
I was hunting for something else (completely unrelated) earlier this morning and found it again, so thought I’d share it.
I know that many of you are going through situations at the moment that you are feeling scared about – relationship breakups, single parenthood, learning to eat again, launching new ideas out into the world, family stuff, health issues…
That’s ok.
Let me say that again: it’s ok to feel scared.
The important thing to remember is that ‘scared’ is just a feeling. It’s not who you are.
‘Brave’ can also be a feeling.
And if you transform it from something that you’re feeling into something that you’re doing it can be a much more powerful thing. Because doing something means you’re taking action, and taking action means you’re moving forwards through that situation that you were feeling scared about.
