It’s Friday! It also happens to be World Smile Day.
There are many things in my life that I have to smile about – I’m incredibly lucky.
Despite all of these wonderful things, over the last couple of months I’ve felt that I’ve lost my smile, let my light dim a little bit. I’ve had lots of things on my mind that I’ve been worrying about, and I’ve been focusing so much on them that I kind of forgot to notice the things that I have to be happy about.
And, as per usual, in the subtle way that only the universe can orchestrate, today – World Smile Day – happens to be shaping up to be an pretty awesome, smile-intensive day, reminding me that if I choose to focus on the good stuff, the not-so-good stuff becomes a lot more manageable.
Here’s what is making me smile today…
~ This gorgeous sunrise (the sky really is doing some incredibly beautiful things at the moment – have you noticed that too?):
~ A day packed full of clients and supervision
~ My three crazy girls taking full advantage of odd-socks-and-shoes day at school to raise money for the RNLI:
~ Looking forward to date night with my husband – we’re off to the cinema (for the first time in nearly a year!) to see Gone Girl (loved the book), AND I’m excited to wear my new shoes that up until now I’ve not been able to show off
~ Remembering that I bought this to put in the girls bedroom so it’s the first thing they see when they wake up in the morning:
~ Lola bringing me this book to read to her before school this morning:
This blog is a place for me to share my thoughts, feelings and ideas about stuff. It’s also a place for you to share your stuff.
So today I’m asking you this question…
What makes YOU smile?
