Project You Coaching is an individually tailored programme of sessions designed to achieve several things:
How we go about achieving these things is where it gets really interesting…
Project You is based on a branch of Psychology that studies how people make themselves happy, called Positive Psychology, which has provided solid research that shows how people can improve their sense of contentment and happiness. All of the work we do in our sessions together (and the tasks I’ll be asking you to complete in between sessions) are designed to literally change your brain so that it notices and moves you towards those things around you that enhance your life and ignores or moves away from those things that don’t.
We’ll discover your unique combination of Signature Strengths (the keys to our ability to experience life positively) – nourish those strengths that are most important to us and we are rewarded with flow. Starve those strengths, and life feels empty and unfulfilling. Wouldn’t it be great to really understand what makes you tick and why? Just imagine how you could use that to help you move forwards towards getting more of the life you want.
So what is flow?
Flow is when everything just feels right, when our thoughts, feelings and actions all fit together in a way that just works. Have you ever experienced a moment when you’ve been doing something you enjoy, when time seems to slow down, everything feels effortless and you are completely immersed in whatever it is you are doing? That’s flow. For me it’s when I’m writing, or taking photos, or working with clients. What about you – when do you think you may have experienced flow?
The purpose of Project You is to help you live your life more in flow, with the ability to achieve a state of flow in any situation you want. This will help you create the life that you want to be living.
Project You Coaching blurs the edges of the definitions between therapy and coaching. It’s a model that is limitless in the techniques it can employ to help you get what you came for. It can be used to help you achieve a specific goal you have in mind, but it’s intended to do a lot more; it’s intended to give you the means of taking control of the way you live your life.
